This huge Neotropical group of related genera includes some very important horticultural plants such as Oncidium, Odontoglossum, Miltoniopsis, Miltonia and Brassia as well as a host of other lesser known (but no less beautiful) orchids. All members of this group originate in the tropical and sub-tropical countries of North and South America, with lowland tropical species to cold growing, high elevation species.
